A delegation from Azerbaijan's Nizami Ganjavi International Center has conducted a series of high-level meetings in Beijing, strengthening ties with Chinese partners and exploring global cooperation opportunities.
The visit began with a meeting with Ambassador Wu Hongbo, former Special Representative of the Chinese Government for European Affairs, The Caspian Post informs via local media.
The delegation also met with Professor Mansfield Freeman of Tsinghua University, renowned economist Li Daokui, and David Pan, Executive Dean of Schwarzman College. Discussions focused on potential collaboration and Chinese participation in the 13th Global Baku Forum.
Further meetings included President Wu Ken and Vice President Yan Tao of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs, where participants exchanged views on humanitarian dialogue, multilateral cooperation, and global challenges.
The program also featured a session with Professor Justin Yifu Lin, former Chief Economist and Senior Vice President of the World Bank, covering regional economic trends, sustainable development strategies, and upcoming events like the World Urban Forum 2026.
These engagements enhanced the Centre’s role in promoting international dialogue and reinforced its strategic relationship with Chinese institutions.
