A total of 104 Azerbaijani students have been awarded scholarships to study at some of Hungary's leading universities during the 2026/2027 academic year under the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship program.
The scholarships were granted under a 2024-2026 Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Ministry of Science and Education of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, The Caspian Post reports via Azerbaijan's State Agency for Science and Higher Education.
The selected students include 11 undergraduate, 80 master's, and 13 doctoral candidates.
The scholarship recipients will pursue studies in high-demand fields such as computer science, data science, finance, international economics and business, international relations, management, chemical engineering, and other priority disciplines.
Students will attend some of Hungary's most prestigious institutions, including Eötvös Loránd University, Corvinus University of Budapest, Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Óbuda University, University of Debrecen, and Budapest University of Economics and Business.
The Stipendium Hungaricum program continues strengthening educational cooperation between Azerbaijan and Hungary, while helping develop a highly skilled workforce by giving young Azerbaijanis access to world-class international education.
