During the high-level talks in Baku, President Al-Sharaa expressed regret over the deterioration of Syria’s international relationships under the previous government, noting that this had negatively impacted ties with countries such as Azerbaijan.
In a forward-looking statement, Al-Sharaa emphasized Syria’s strong interest in revitalizing and expanding cooperation with Azerbaijan in various areas, including politics, trade and the economy, culture, and humanitarian efforts.
