Slovakia Extends Official Visit Invitation to Azerbaijani Leader

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has been invited to undertake an official visit to Slovakia.

The announcement was made by Elchin Gasimov, the newly appointed Slovak ambassador to Azerbaijan, during the presentation of his credentials to President Aliyev, The Caspian Post informs via local media.

Diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Slovakia were officially established in 1993, following Slovakia’s independence. Over the years, the two countries have developed strong bilateral ties across political, economic, and cultural spheres.

Azerbaijan and Slovakia cooperate in energy, trade, and investment, with Slovakia showing interest in Azerbaijani energy projects, including oil and gas exports. Both countries are members of international organizations such as the United Nations and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), providing platforms for multilateral cooperation.
