Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov met with David Allen, US Chargé d’Affaires in Armenia, and Amy Carlon, US Chargé d’Affaires in Azerbaijan, to discuss efforts to normalize relations between Baku and Yerevan.

The officials exchanged views on advancing the peace process, securing lasting and sustainable peace, and strengthening regional stability and security, The Caspian Post reports, citing Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry.

The meeting also addressed the results of Mammadov’s visit to the US marking the anniversary of the Washington Peace Summit and the trilateral statement signed there.

The sides discussed efforts to implement the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) and establish the TRIPP Development Corporation, which is expected to oversee the construction of infrastructure linked to the route.

The officials also reviewed the current state of Azerbaijan-US bilateral relations and prospects for expanding cooperation in areas identified in the Strategic Partnership Charter.
