The Turkish State Meteorological Service has issued a yellow weather warning for eight southeastern provinces due to heavy rainfall and thunderstorms.
Forecasters expect rain across much of the country, with several northeastern provinces likely to remain unaffected. The heaviest downpours are forecast along the Aegean coast and in southeastern Türkiye, as well as in Antalya, Hatay, Çanakkale and Edirne provinces, according to TRT Haber.
Dust storms are also expected in the Eastern Mediterranean and Southeastern Anatolia regions.
The yellow alert covers Adıyaman, Bingöl, Diyarbakır, Elazığ, Mardin, Tunceli, Şanlıurfa and Batman, where heavy rainfall could increase the risk of flooding.
Meanwhile, temperatures in southern and western parts of the country are expected to drop by 4-6 degrees Celsius.
Meteorologists are warning residents in affected areas to remain alert to potential weather-related hazards.
