Cargo Transport along Middle Corridor Surges by 63% in 2024

The volume of cargo transported along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR), also known as the Middle Corridor, surged by 63% in the first 11 months of 2024, reaching 4.1 million tons.

Container transport via TITR saw a remarkable 2.6-fold increase, totaling 50,500 TEU from January to November 2024, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kazakhstan's Ministry of Transport.

The ministry informed that the route’s annual capacity has now reached 6 million tons, including 100,000 TEU in container traffic.

Ongoing infrastructure modernization efforts are expected to further boost capacity and enhance service quality.
