Uzbekistan, Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank Explore Expansion of Public-Private Infrastructure Projects

Uzbek Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance Ilhomjon Umrzakov has met with an Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank's (AIIB) delegation led by Director of the Public Sector Operations Department Xiaohong Yang, focusing on speeding up existing public-private infrastructure projects and exploring ways to broaden and deepen bilateral cooperation.

The meeting included senior AIIB officials, such as Jonathan Kamkwalala and Alexei Shevchenko, and Uzbek representatives including Nodir Khodjamov, Deputy Head of Uzsuvtaminot company, The Caspian Post informs, citing Uzbek media.

Special focus was placed on modernizing water infrastructure, enhancing water resource efficiency, and improving water supply systems.

Both sides confirmed their commitment to continued constructive dialogue and joint development of future projects, strengthening Uzbekistan’s collaboration with AIIB.
