Azerbaijan was represented at the Orientalys Festival in Montreal by the Azerbaijani Society of Canada.
The festival, dedicated to highlighting the rich cultures of Eastern peoples, introduced visitors to Azerbaijan’s ancient heritage, diverse regions, historical monuments, and natural beauty, The Caspian Post reports, citing local media.
Publications presented at the Azerbaijani stand - including The Colors of Azerbaijan book by Etibar Jafarov, published with the support of the State Committee on Work with the Diaspora - drew significant interest among attendees.
Festival visitors also showed great enthusiasm for taking photos with traditional Azerbaijani accessories such as kelaghayi (traditional Azerbaijani women's headwear), aragchin (another type of skullcap), and other national headdresses.
