Baku Hosts Vietnamese Days Event

The Vietnamese Days event was held at Icherisheher (Old City) in Baku on July 27.

Speaking at the event, Rufat Mahmud, Chairman of the Board of the “Icherisheher” State Historical-Architectural Reserve Administration, emphasized the cultural and historical significance of Icherisheher. He noted that the event brought two ancient Oriental cultures closer together, The Caspian Post reports local media.

Other speakers included Trinh Thi Thu Ha, Rector of the Hanoi College of Commerce and Tourism, and Le Nguyen Thien Nga, Director of Le Cerne - Vietnam Creative and Artistic Space. They highlighted the event’s role in strengthening the friendship and cooperation between the two countries, both boasting ancient and rich cultural heritage.

The speakers also expressed hope that Vietnam would soon host the Azerbaijan Days.

The event featured a musical program showcasing Vietnamese national music, traditional arts, and the iconic Vietnamese women’s outfit, the Ao dai.
