Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan Explore Prospects for Development of Cultural Cooperation

Minister of Culture, Information and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan Mirbek Mambetaliev and Minister of Culture of Tajikistan Matlubakhon Sattariyon held a meeting in the city of Khujand, Sughd region of Tajikistan.

According to the Ministry of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that the main topic of discussion was the development of cultural cooperation between the two countries, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kyrgyz media.

The parties agreed to intensify cooperation in the field of preserving cultural heritage, organizing tours of creative groups and implementing joint projects.

The sides also noted that the agreement on cultural cooperation, signed in 1996, requires updating in light of modern challenges and new opportunities for interaction.
