Uzbekistan to Promote Cultural Heritage in Japan

Diplomats at Uzbekistan's Embassy in Japan met with Gen Nakagawa, Mayor of Nara, to discuss preparations for a significant exhibition devoted to the cultural and historical heritage.

The event will be held at the Nara National Museum in 2027, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.

The parties exchanged views on the current preparations for the exhibition. The Japanese side expressed confidence in the rapid progress of organizational issues, emphasizing that this cultural event will become an important milestone in relations between Uzbekistan and Japan.

The participants also discussed the prospects for further development of cooperation between Samarkand and Nara.

An agreement was reached on the visit of the Japanese companies’ delegation led by the Mayor of Nara to Samarkand in the first half of this year. A business forum and B2B meetings will also take place during this trip.

These events promise to strengthen ties between the two countries and deepen cultural exchange, significantly contributing to developing bilateral relations.
