Armenia, Kazakhstan Discuss Economic Cooperation and Trade Expansion

Armenia's Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan on Monday received Kazakh Ambassador to Yerevan Bolat Imanbayev, the Ministry of Economy said.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in the economic sphere, increasing trade turnover, diversifying exports and imports and developing new logistics routes, The Caspian Post reports, citing Armenian media.

They also touched upon opportunities for cooperation in the agro-industrial sector and ensuring food security.

Minister Papoyan emphasized the importance of investments in various sectors of the Armenian economy, as well as the activities of companies with Kazakh capital.

The sides exchanged views on the 2024-2025 roadmap for trade and economic cooperation.

Minister Papoyan expressed the Armenian government’s readiness to continue collaboration, fully supporting the implementation of joint programs and the promotion of new initiatives.
