Moody’s Forecasts Steady Growth for Azerbaijan’s Economy

International rating agency Moody’s has forecast that Azerbaijan’s GDP growth will accelerate to 3% in 2026.

The agency estimates that Azerbaijan’s economy expanded by 1.5% in 2025 and expects growth to moderate to 2.5% in 2027, The Caspian Post reports, citing local media.

Based on Moody’s projections, the average annual GDP growth for Azerbaijan during 2026-2027 is expected to be 2.75%.

For comparison, the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan reported that the country’s economy grew by 1.4% in 2025.
