Between January and May 2026, Azerbaijan’s gross domestic product totaled nearly 51.784 billion manats (about $30.46 billion), according to the State Statistical Committee.
According to the latest data, the figure is almost unchanged compared to the same period last year, The Caspian Post reports, citing Report.
Over the past year, the value of the country's oil and gas GDP declined by 1 percent, falling to nearly 16.125 billion manats (approximately $9.5 billion), while the non-oil and gas GDP rose by 0.4 percent, exceeding 35.658 billion manats (roughly $21 billion).
According to updated forecasts by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, overall economic growth in 2026 is expected to be 1.1 percent, including 3.2 percent growth in the non-oil and gas sector.
Meanwhile, government projections indicate that in 2026, GDP growth will reach 1.7 percent, with the oil and gas sector contracting by 3.3 percent, while the non-oil and gas sector is forecast to expand by 3.7 percent.
