Kazakhstan’s SCAT Airlines has announced the launch of new direct flights from Turkistan’s Hazret Sultan International Airport (HSA) to three major cities in Uzbekistan: Urgench, Bukhara and Samarkand, according to Uzbekistan Airports.
The first route, Turkistan-Urgench-Turkistan, will begin operating on 1 December, with flights scheduled every Monday, Friday and Sunday, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.
Further details on the launch dates and frequency for flights to Bukhara and Samarkand are expected to follow.
Direct flights on the Turkistan - Bukhara - Turkistan route are scheduled to start on 2 December, with services operating on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Regular flights on the Turkistan - Samarkand - Turkistan route will launch on 3 December. These flights will operate on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
One-way ticket prices for all routes start at USD 77.19. Tickets can be purchased on the airline’s website.
“The launch of these new routes expands transport connectivity between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan and makes travel between regional cities even more convenient,” the company said.
