Kazakhstan, Belarus Ink Cooperation Development Roadmap for 2025-2029
The meeting discussed the implementation of the agreements reached between the Kazakh and Belarusian presidents, aimed at promoting trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation.

Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov had a talk with his Belarusian counterpart Roman Golovchenko in Minsk, Kazinform News Agency cites the press service of the Kazakh government.
The meeting discussed the implementation of the agreements reached between the Kazakh and Belarusian presidents, aimed at promoting trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation. Special attention was placed to industrial cooperation, agriculture with wheat deep processing projects in focus, construction, transport, IT sphere and tourism, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kazinform.
In 8 months of this year, the mutual trade turnover between the two countries stood at 600 million US dollars, Kazakhstan’s flour products are in demand in Belarus (10.2% of Kazakhstan’s exports of flour products) and others. The positive trend is also observed in the transportation industry, with a 19% increase (450.6 thousand tons) reported in the 9 months this year.
The Kazakh and Belarusian governments also work to promote industrial cooperation, with the total pool including 14 projects worth 277.5 million US dollars with a creation of 1.8 thousand jobs. Of these, 11 joint enterprises worth over 200 million US dollars have been already launched in the Kazakh regions, creating 1.6 thousand jobs. The projects include assembly of tractors, grain and forage harvesters and trailed agricultural machinery. Three more projects are under implementation.
Special attention was placed to the export potential of Kazakhstani companies, manufacturing railway equipment and that could start supplying rail fastening systems, fitting platforms, railway wheels, components and assemblies to Belarus.
Following the talks, a number of bilateral documents were signed, including the roadmap between the Kazakh and Belarusian governments for development of trade and economic cooperation for 2025/29, aimed at adding more joint projects to the pool and establishing closer ties between business circles; the agreement between Kazakh Tourism and the National Tourism Agency of Belarus, providing for exchanges of experience in the field of ecology, ski, agricultural, medical and children and youth tourism; the action plan on interaction in the sphere of cultural and humanitarian cooperation for 2025/26.
Kazakh Premier Bektenov visited the High Technologies Park in Minsk, where he was presented with the digital projects underway in cloud technologies, cybersecurity, financial sectors and so on.
