Kazakh businesses can now obtain Russian product marking codes directly through the national Tañba system, eliminating the need for intermediaries.
The Kazakh Ministry of Trade announced the new mechanism, according to Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The system is designed for products subject to mandatory marking requirements in Russia but not yet covered by Kazakhstan's own marking rules.
It applies to 15 product categories, including cosmetics, perfumes, toys, household chemicals, tires, canned goods and sports nutrition.
The new arrangement is expected to simplify exports of Kazakh products to Russia, including sales through online marketplaces.
The mechanism operates within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and is based on a decision by the Eurasian Economic Commission governing data exchange between the member states' national product marking systems.
