Eric Trump, son of US President Donald Trump, is set to visit Georgia's capital Tbilisi for the groundbreaking ceremony of the planned Trump Tower.

Eric Trump said he would visit Tbilisi very soon and attend the groundbreaking ceremony, adding that he expected to return to the Georgian capital frequently afterward, according to Sputnik Georgia.

He also praised Georgia’s economic growth and its developing relations with Western countries, saying the country had “done an incredible job” and deserved recognition for its progress.

The planned 280-meter Trump Tower is expected to become the tallest building in Tbilisi.

Construction is scheduled for completion in 2031.
