Georgia’s Interior Ministry has arrested a Turkish citizen in Batumi who was wanted internationally through Interpol.
The man was detained by officers from the Patrol Police Department of Georgia’s Interior Ministry after authorities established his whereabouts in the Black Sea city, the ministry said in a Facebook post.
Türkiye was seeking the man in connection with several serious crimes.
Authorities are now carrying out the procedures required under Georgian law for his subsequent extradition to Türkiye.
