A presentation of the Trump Tower construction project was held in central Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze underlined the importance of the project for Tbilisi, The Caspian Post reports, citing Sputnik Georgia.

“A $2 billion investment and 600,000 square meters of modern space in the center of Tbilisi will create a new reality for the country, offering unique economic and tourism appeal,” Kobakhidze said.

According to the prime minister, the project includes a 62-story building standing 280 meters tall. Construction is scheduled to be completed in 2031.

The wider “Downtown Tbilisi” complex, which is expected to be completed in 2033, will consist of six high-rise buildings. The skyscrapers will be constructed on the site of the central park in the capital’s Saburtalo district.

Eric Trump, vice president of The Trump Organization and son of U.S. President Donald Trump, also took part in the ceremony remotely.
