Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has arrived in Georgia on an official visit, where he is set to hold a series of high-level meetings aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and discussing regional issues.
Berdimuhamedov and the accompanying delegation were welcomed at Tbilisi International Airport by Georgian Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Irakli Chikovani, The Caspian Post reports via ImediNews.
An official welcoming ceremony was held at the Presidential Palace, where Berdimuhamedov is scheduled to meet with Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili. The two leaders are expected to discuss expanding cooperation between Turkmenistan and Georgia, as well as key developments on the regional agenda.
Later on July 17, Berdimuhamedov will also meet with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and hold a series of bilateral talks with ministers from both countries.
