Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi reaffirmed on Friday Iran's dedication to diplomacy in addressing its issues with the United States.
According to a statement from the Iranian Foreign Ministry, "Araqchi briefed his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Ahmed Mohamed Abdel-Aty, on the latest developments in the indirect talks between Iran and the United States," The Caspian Post reports, citing foreign media.
The statement quoted Araqchi as saying that "Iran is committed to diplomacy to resolve issues and that the success of this process depends on the seriousness and realism of the other side," adding that "the success of the diplomatic track requires seriousness and realism from Washington and avoiding excessive demands."
