Gunmen Kill Two IRGC Members in Western Iran, Investigation Underway

Two members of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) were killed and two others wounded after gunmen attacked them in the western Iranian city of Paveh on June 29 evening.

The assailants opened fire at the entrance of the homes of the two local IRGC personnel, triggering the deadly attack, The Caspian Post reports via Mehr news agency.

The identities of the attackers have not yet been disclosed, and authorities have provided no further updates on the condition of the two injured individuals.

Iranian officials said security and investigative agencies have launched a full investigation into the incident and are working to identify those responsible for what authorities described as a terrorist attack. The investigation remains ongoing.
