Six airports in Iran are now operational: Mehrabad, Mashhad, Shiraz, Zahedan, Gorgan, and Urmia, according to the Iran Airports and Air Navigation Company.
Flights from Kerman (Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani Airport), Yazd, and Birjand are expected to begin in the “next phase,” citing information from the Iran Airports and Air Navigation Company, The Caspian Post reports, citing Al Jazeera.
With the provision of safe conditions in the country’s airspace, both domestic and international flights will gradually increase, and the eastern airspace of Iran will also begin to see transit flights passing through its skies.
