Iran has reported the destruction of another large oil tanker that attempted to pass through the Strait of Hormuz without proper authorization.

The vessel was sailing under the flag of Pakistan. Authorities said multiple warnings were issued to the tanker’s crew, but after receiving no response, a targeted strike was carried out, resulting in the vessel’s complete destruction, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

Iranian officials did not provide independent verification of the incident, but emphasized that vessels must comply with established procedures when transiting the waterway.

Earlier, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced increased control measures in the Strait of Hormuz, including deploying container ships and restricting passage for vessels traveling to and from ports linked to opposing parties.
