Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, Kazem Gharibabadi, held a consultative meeting with the Chinese and Russian ambassadors to Tehran following the latest round of Iran-US nuclear negotiations in Oman.
On Saturday, Gharibabadi met separately with Russia’s Ambassador to Tehran, Alexey Dedov, and China’s Ambassador, Cong Peiwu, to discuss recent diplomatic developments, The Caspian Post reports, citing Iranian media.
Referring to the meetings, Gharibabadi said, “Today, after my trip to Beijing and the negotiations in Oman, I met with the ambassadors of Russia and China in Tehran and exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.”
The consultations were held one day after Iran and the United States conducted nuclear talks in Oman. Gharibabadi had joined the Iranian negotiating team in Muscat following his visit to Beijing.
Prior to traveling to China, Gharibabadi had also held a meeting with the Russian ambassador as part of ongoing diplomatic engagements.
