Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has had a phone talk with his Egyptian counterpart Badr Abdelatty to discuss Iran’s nuclear program.

During this conversation, the Iranian nuclear issue was discussed, The Caspian Post reports via the Iranian Foreign Ministry's message on its Telegram channel.

The two ministers also addressed bilateral relations and recent developments in the Middle East region.

The call comes after the IAEA Board of Governors on November 20 adopted a resolution demanding that Iran promptly report on its enriched uranium stockpiles and damaged nuclear sites.

Araghchi warned that the new IAEA resolution could harm cooperation with Iran and undermine the authority and independence of the international agency. He also noted that Iran formally informed the IAEA on November 20 of the end of the Cairo Agreement, signed in September, complicating verification of Iran’s nuclear activities.
