At least 29 Turkish individuals arrested during the January 2026 protests remain in detention at Ardabil Central Prison, with their cases still unresolved and no trials held.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, several months after their arrests, the detainees have yet to receive a fair hearing, while some have also been denied regular phone calls and family visits.

Informed sources said repeated efforts by their families to secure their temporary release on bail have been met with obstruction and vague responses from security and judicial authorities.
