Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on Friday announced the launch of the 45th wave of its “Operation True Promise 4” targeting what it described as US and Israeli objectives on International Quds Day.

In a statement released by the IRGC’s public relations department, the force said the operation was launched on Friday afternoon under the codename “Ya Sahib al-Zaman,” The Caspian Post reports, citing Iranian media.

The move followed what it described as a strong response from the Iranian public to the Supreme Leader’s call and their participation in Quds Day marches.

The operation involved the use of a large number of solid-fuel Kheibar Shekan precision missiles.

The IRGC said the strikes were carried out jointly by its naval forces, drone units from both the Iranian Army and the IRGC, as well as Lebanon’s Hezbollah, targeting what it called enemy positions.
