Iran's Navy is set to begin the operational phase of its large-scale missile exercise, “Sustainable Power 1404,” on Thursday.
Spanning two days, the drills will take place across the northern Indian Ocean and the Sea of Oman, The Caspian Post reports, citing Iranian media.
The drills will be conducted for two days with the participation of surface and subsurface vessels, aerial units, coastal-to-sea missile sites, sea-based missile sites, and electronic warfare units in the northern Indian Ocean and the Sea of Oman.
Rear Admiral Abbas Hassani, a spokesman for the army navy, said that the exercise aims to enhance combat readiness, boost public confidence, improve operational planning, command and control capabilities, and strengthen deterrence, all leveraging domestic expertise.
