Iran’s Armed Forces Chief of Staff Major General Ali Abdollahi has outlined five principles for peace and security in West Asia, including an end to conflicts, sanctions relief, and new regional security arrangements.

Abdollahi issued the message for November 4, the National Day of the Fight against Global Arrogance. He cited Imam Khomeini’s 1964 exile, the 1978 student killings, and the 1979 US embassy (Den of Espionage) takeover, The Caspian Post reports, citing IRNA.

He noted that Iran had moved from defense and crisis management toward shaping regional order. Military power, he noted, was a means, not an end, and Iran did not seek war.

According to Abdollahi, the five principles are: ending hostilities on all fronts, particularly in Lebanon and Gaza; lifting sanctions and releasing frozen Iranian assets; compensation for imposed wars; recognizing Iran’s sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz and replacing the US security umbrella with a Hormuz mechanism; and guarantees against renewed aggression, alongside regional security arrangements.

Abdollahi emphasized that Iran’s Armed Forces were prepared to respond immediately to any threat.
