Iranian First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref reiterated that the country has full sovereign control over the Strait of Hormuz.

"Tehran’s control over the Strait of Hormuz “is an exercise of our legal and sovereign right over our national wealth," he stated, The Caspian Post reports, citing Al Jazeera.

“The Strait of Hormuz is the property of Iran,” Reza Aref said.

“We are fully prepared to confront the enemy,” the vice president said, adding: “We will make any enemy who so much as looks askance at Iran regret it.”
