Around 50% of the damaged capacity at Iran’s giant South Pars gas field had been restored as of September 22, with gas production resuming.

Iran’s Deputy Oil Minister for Planning Ahmad Zera'atkar said the recovery had reached its planned targets, according to Iran International.

He added that all remaining repair work is expected to be completed before the start of winter.

South Pars is one of Iran’s most important gas-producing assets, making the restoration of its damaged facilities significant for the country’s domestic gas supply.
