Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it launched a new wave of military strikes targeting sites in Israel, a US military base in Qatar, and positions of anti-Iranian armed groups in Iraq’s Kurdistan region.
The attacks were carried out as part of the 56th wave of Operation “True Promise - 4,” The Caspian Post reports, citing Iranian media.
In a statement cited by the broadcaster, the IRGC said it fired several high-precision missiles, including the Khorremshahr, Emad and Ghader, at strategic targets in Israel. The group claimed the missiles struck the logistics command in southern Israel and a missile depot linked to the Israeli defense company Rafael Advanced Defense Systems in the north of the country.
The statement also said a strike targeted Al Udeid Air Base in Doha, Qatar, the largest US military installation in the Middle East.
At the same time, IRGC drone units reportedly carried out a series of attacks against positions of anti-Iranian armed groups in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
