Iranian authorities have developed a two-year plan to strengthen cooperation with member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref announced.
“The Iranian government has developed a two-year plan aimed at maximizing the SCO's potential in various sectors,” Aref said, The Caspian Post reports, citing TASS.
He emphasized that, alongside economic and trade ties, a key priority for Iran within the organization is to expand cooperation in advanced technologies and artificial intelligence.
According to the first vice president, Iran is focusing on its domestic capabilities, particularly in logistics, transportation and modern technological solutions.
Aref stressed that Tehran’s strategy is “to maintain an active and effective presence in the SCO.”
“Despite differences on certain regional and international political issues, Iran’s goal is to overcome these differences and reach common solutions through dialogue and cooperation,” he concluded.
