Iran has warned that it is preparing “unexpected options” in response to any future attack by the United States, including the use of new weapons systems and military technologies.

Iranian Army spokesman Mohammad Akraminia said Tehran is developing advanced military capabilities and new methods of warfare in anticipation of a possible escalation with Washington, The Caspian Post reports via Irna.

“If the United States makes another mistake and attacks our country again, it will definitely face unexpected options,” Akraminia said. “These will include more advanced and newer equipment, new methods of warfare, and most importantly, new domains.”

The Iranian official noted that if the conflict expands into new areas, Tehran believes it could catch its adversaries off guard, claiming Washington would be unable to predict such developments.
