Iran unveiled its first domestically produced advanced F-class gas turbine on Monday in a ceremony attended by Energy Minister Abbas Aliabadi, marking a significant milestone in the country’s energy sector.

The MGT-75 turbine, featuring cutting-edge technologies such as a 3D axial compressor, single-crystal and directional blades, advanced cooling systems, and modern thermal coatings, delivers high efficiency comparable to international models, The Caspian Post reports citing Iranian media.

With a power capacity of 222 MW, it is also equipped with a Can-annular combustion system that reduces emissions and enables the mixed use of natural gas and hydrogen.
