The largest oil refinery in Bahrain, operated by BAPCO, was reportedly hit in an Iranian strike on March 9.

Initial information suggests that the refinery - a cornerstone of Bahrain’s energy infrastructure - was targeted during a new wave of attacks linked to Iran. However, officials have not yet confirmed the extent of the damage or whether there were any casualties, The Caspian Post reports via ClashReport.

The BAPCO refinery is the largest refining facility in Bahrain and plays a crucial role in the kingdom’s oil processing and export operations, making it a strategic asset for the country’s economy and energy sector.

The strike comes as tensions across the Persian Gulf continue to escalate. In recent days, multiple reports have indicated Iranian missile and drone attacks targeting locations across several Gulf states, raising concerns about the risk of wider regional instability.
