Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has said that it struck the US-linked oil tanker Safesea Vishnu in the Persian Gulf, escalating tensions in the region.
The vessel was targeted near waters close to Iraq during the incident. One crew member from India was reportedly killed, The Caspian Post reports.
Footage published by Clash Report appears to show the moment the tanker was struck in the northern Persian Gulf after it ignored warnings issued by the IRGC.
