A spokesperson for the Israeli military stated that its air force "attacked and destroyed" a ballistic missile platform in the Iranian city of Qom, which was preparing to launch an attack.

In a statement posted on X, Avichay Adraee said that the Israeli air force also destroyed an air defence system dedicated to targeting aircraft in the Iranian city of Isfahan, The Caspian Post reports, citing foreign media.

The strikes were aimed at degrading Iran’s defence as well as expanding Israel’s “air control in the region”, he wrote.
