More than 20 million people are expected to travel to Tehran to attend the funeral of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, The Caspian Post reports, citing Al Jazeera.

If those estimates are realized, the number of visitors would more than double the Iranian capital’s population, which is approximately 10 million.

Alongside the ceremonies scheduled in Tehran, funeral events are also set to take place in the holy city of Qom and in Mashhad, where authorities are likewise expecting large crowds to gather.
