On September 27 at 22:51, an earthquake was registered 852 km northeast of Almaty, The Caspian Post reports citing the Zakon.Kz.

According to data from the seismic station network of the NNCSNiI JSC of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the estimated intensity in Semey was 2 points.

There were no reports of casualties or damage.
