Cyclone Sparks Weather Warnings Across Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan’s national hydrometeorological service, Kazhydromet, has issued an official forecast, warning of a mix of adverse weather events and elevated wildfire risk across multiple regions of the country.

A cyclonic system sweeping through the region is expected to trigger thundershowers in the eastern and southeastern territories, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kazakh media.

At the same time, dust storms are forecast for the southwestern areas, while fog may settle in parts of the north, potentially affecting visibility during morning hours.

In the west and southwest, residents are bracing for intense heat, with air temperatures projected to soar as high as 35 to 39 degrees Celsius in the Atyrau, Mangistau, West Kazakhstan, and Aktobe regions.

The threat of wildfires remains a significant concern. High fire danger has been declared in Pavlodar, West Kazakhstan, Mangistau, and Atyrau, with an extremely high fire risk in Turkistan, Almaty, Kyzylorda, Zhambyl, Aktobe, Kostanay, Karaganda, Ulytau, Zhetysu, Abai, and East Kazakhstan regions.
