An earthquake was recorded on the territory of the East Kazakhstan region today at around 08:29 am, according to the National Scientific Center for Seismological Observations and Research.
The epicenter of the quake was 48 kilometers away from the town of Zaissan in the East Kazakhstan region, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kazinform.
The estimated intensity (in points) in the region was as follows: 2 points near Zaissan.
No injuries or damages were reported.
In mid-February, an earthquake was registered in East Kazakhstan region. The epicenter of the quake was in the territory of the Russian Federation, 1225 kilometers northeast of Almaty.
