An Uzbek citizen wanted by Kazakhstan has been detained in Georgia after being located through an Interpol Red Notice.
The officers from the Adjara Main Division of the Central Criminal Police Department arrested the woman at the Sarpi border crossing, The Caspian Post reports via the Georgian Interior Ministry's message on Facebook.
The suspect was being sought at the request of Kazakh law enforcement authorities under an international arrest warrant issued through Interpol.
Georgian authorities said the necessary legal procedures are now underway to facilitate the woman's extradition to Kazakhstan in accordance with national and international law.
