Filming has officially begun in Kazakhstan's Mangystau region for Armour of God: Ultimatum, the latest installment in the action franchise starring global film icon Jackie Chan.

The production kicked off with a traditional opening ceremony attended by Jackie Chan and director Robert Koon, who marked the start of filming by breaking a ceremonial plate, The Caspian Post reports via Kazinform.

The movie's main filming location is the breathtaking Bozzhyra tract, one of Mangystau's most spectacular natural landmarks. The international production is expected to showcase Kazakhstan's dramatic landscapes to millions of viewers around the world.
