Kazakh Parliament Reviews Draft Law on Military Transit Agreement with Türkiye

The Kazakh MPs have begun reviewing the draft law on ratification of the Agreement between Kazakhstan and Türkiye regarding the transit of military equipment and personnel through both countries’ airspace.

MP Aigul Kuspan said that the agreement was signed on September 11, 2024, in Astana and is designed to regulate and update existing conditions for military transit between the two nations, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

Kuspan noted that the parliamentary Committee on International Affairs, Defense, and Security is prepared to issue an official conclusion on the draft law in the near future.

The agreement, approved by the Government of Kazakhstan in September 2024, marks another step in strengthening strategic cooperation and defense partnership between Kazakhstan and Türkiye.
