Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has extended warm congratulations to Guillaume V, the newly ascended Grand Duke of Luxembourg, on the occasion of his formal accession to the throne.
In a telegram addressed to the new head of state, President Tokayev emphasized the importance of the long-standing and friendly relations between Kazakhstan and Luxembourg, reaffirming Astana’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.
"Kazakhstan greatly values its long-standing partnership with Luxembourg, founded on strong bonds of friendship and mutual respect. I look forward to working closely with you to further enhance our productive relations and explore new avenues for bilateral cooperation for the benefit of both nations," the message read.
President Tokayev also expressed deep respect and appreciation to His Royal Highness Grand Duke Henri, acknowledging his leadership and dedicated service to the Grand Duchy over the course of his reign.
The congratulatory message comes as Luxembourg marks a historic transition of power. Following his abdication, Grand Duke Henri formally transferred the crown to his eldest son, now Grand Duke Guillaume V, ushering in a new chapter for the European nation.
