Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will travel to Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan, to take part in an informal Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Azerbaijan.

Tokayev will visit the Kyrgyz resort city from July 31 to August 1 at the invitation of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, Kazinform reports.

The meeting will bring together leaders from Central Asia and Azerbaijan to discuss regional cooperation and closer interaction among the participating countries.

The talks are expected to focus on strengthening ties and advancing joint initiatives across the region, as Central Asian states and Azerbaijan continue to deepen political and economic cooperation.

The upcoming meeting follows recent talks between Tokayev and Tajik President Emomali Rahmon in Astana. Their discussions focused on expanding trade and economic relations, as well as cooperation in transport, logistics and energy.

The two presidents also reviewed the implementation of agreements reached during previous high-level meetings.
